Wales Community Recycling Network






Cylch (Wales Community Recycling Network) supports delivery of the national recycling campaign that is managed by Waste Awareness Wales. Cylch helps deliver a number of joint projects with Waste Awareness Wales including The Event Recycling Project and Cylchgrawn magazine. Cylch represents the community sector on the management group of Waste Awareness Wales.

Environment Agency Wales









Environment Agency Wales is the leading Assembly Sponsored Public Body working to protect and improve the environment in Wales. They work with business, Government and all sections of the community to ensure they provide an integrated approach to the protection of land, air and water management.

One of their main roles in the sustainable management of waste is to protect the environment and human health by ensuring industry complies with UK and EU regulations.

This is done through waste permitting, compliance assessment, monitoring and enforcement. They also provide advice on applications for permits and guidance on regulatory compliance and good practice.

Environment Agency Wales sits on the Waste Awareness Wales management group.


 

Keep Wales Tidy












Keep Wales Tidy is a voluntary organisation that works to achieve a Clean, Safe and Tidy Wales. Keep Wales Tidy co-ordinates the Eco-Schools programme in Wales which is part funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, Waste Awareness Wales and The Countryside Council for Wales. Waste Awareness Wales attends regular advisory group meetings for the Eco-Schools Programme and fully supports Eco-Schools activity. Keep Wales Tidy also sits on the Waste Awareness Wales management group.


Welsh Assembly Government










Waste Awareness Wales is fully funded by the Welsh Assembly Government.  The Welsh Assembly Government sits on the Waste Awareness Wales management group to provide advice and strategic input to campaign development.

The Welsh Local Government Association represents the interests of local government and promotes local democracy in Wales. It represents the 22 local authorities in Wales, the four police authorities and three fire and rescue authorities and three national parks are associate members. Waste Awareness Wales is based at the Welsh Local Government Association's offices in Cardiff Bay and is managed on a day-to-day basis through the Environment and Regeneration Directorate. Welsh Local Government Association representatives also sit on Waste Awareness Wales management group.
